Show and Tell Sunday ~ Where do you put it all?

Welcome to another Show and Tell Sunday ! The theme this week is storage. Where do you put it all? Well . . . I have serious storage issues! Perhaps we should create a help group ? I have been considering opening a Brick and Mortar store (but that is a whole other topic).

So here goes . . . you know those little Christmas wreath hooks? I use mine for storing and displaying vintage clothing infront of the closet doors (in the guest bedroom) and behind any available door! The metals ones are nice and strong (those wimpy plastic ones are not).

Lots of Vintage Pretties ~ I will put in my Etsy store this week. That hook is pretty loaded!

The Double Closet Doors hold many more LOL
(and no, I don't think I will open those doors just yet!)

Another dresser and lots of baby clothing is behind the door.

Antique Tins and Vintage Baskets are great storage helpers

The big prize for storage is my antique Post Office or Filing Cabinet

Wooo Weee!!! Look at all those compartments !

I have found that trays and small tins fit perfectly in the narrow shelves. Great for holding all the smalls ~ buttons, lace, doilies, trims and accessories.

My Laundry room is not safe from my overflow . . . a great little cabinet holds my fabrics.

Pretty shades for cottage style pillows

Hat boxes are great for storing lace trims

I use this cute little dresser to store dozens of vintage tablecloths

My Dress Form is used for photo-shoots only and is stored in the kids playroom (I know, I know, its terrible). And even worse. . . she is currently dressed as Darth Vader and has been various other Halloween Costumes !!!! (this is an archived photo of a gown I sold last year).

The quilts hang over the railing at the top of the stairs. It keeps them from getting crushed (not ideal to stack quilts) and they show nicely.

Most of these are sold, so my railing is much emptier now.

Thank you to Cerri at the Little Pink Studio for hosting this week. You can see the other participants here for more storage ideas! I am off to check them all out !

Thank you for visiting!

I'm envying that post office - you can use every inch of it! Very pretty storage. Why don't you keep the dress form deocorated? Of course Darth is a darn good idea. Nancy

I think I'd like to come for a visit! Balancing my own stuff and my inventory has been uphill. We're discussing a cute outbuilding now.

Thank you for all your comments. I do love that Post Office Cabinet. It is relatively new and it certainly was not a problem filling it up immediately :)

The dress form would look lovely in the white Edwardian tea dress I bought a few weeks ago. She is demoted to the toy room because of space issues ~ the double bed, dresser, bookcase and Post office cabinet take up all the space in the guest bedroom. There isn't room for her (I need to name her too!).

I should really get rid of the guest bed when it is not needed. It is only used a few days per year and takes up so much space. I would be far better off with a functional table and pretty dress form nearby.

Ms. Dress Form probably isn't too happy about wearing Darth's mask. I will think up a plan to free her!

Oh that old post office cabinet is wonderful!! I like that you have your quilts over the railing. I have mine on drying racks but a railing would be much nicer. Blessings... Polly

Hi Karen!

Your vintage clothing is beautiful! And the post office is incredible!! What a great place to store little odds and ends you want access to.

I have to laugh at the dress form. My youngest son was always creating costumes for different characters and would have LOVED it if I'd had a dress form back then! Too cute!!

Love the wedding gown! I love wedding things.

Hugs, Sherry
