Happy Canada Day !!!!!

~~~~
Happy Canada Day !!!!
Canada was established as a self governing country on July 1st, 1867.
Canada turns 141 years old today : )
We were suppose to have a pool party with neighbours and friends today . . . but 3 out of the 4 of us have had a nasty flu bug recently. We decided it would be better to re-schedule the party for next weekend. So . . . we had a quiet day at home. We all feel better, but didn't want to pass it on to our friends.
Sometimes quiet is good anyways : )
My husband I and used the day to get some outdoor projects done. Our pool is new (only completed last Fall). There is still lots of "river rock" to be moved to the pool area . . . .
My sweet little flower baskets from Nova Scotia (purchased on vacation last summer) look nice hanging infront of the pool hut windows.
My husband built the steps off the side of the deck today.
The stone path we have started will connect the pool to the deck.
You can see the new stairs on the left and a bit of the path in this photo . . .
The Lillies from my Grandmother's garden are still perfect every year
(it has been over 10 years now that she has passed).
They are like a smile from my Nanny every summer : )
My "buttercups" are in full bloom too
Cider is enjoying the beautiful weather ~ Sunny, wonderful breeze today and 82 degrees F.
Happy Birthday CANADA !!!! Love you !!!!
Happy Canada Day to you too, Karen!
Oh, I just love your new pool...so beautiful. The river rock looks wonderful and your little house...so sweet with the flower boxes. Love your flowers...my "Nana" has been gone 22 years now...I still miss her. She used to have the most wonderful garden. She always had peonies and roses among others...but those two were the favourites.
I am sorry to hear you have been under the weather...hope you will have a better week upcoming.
Take care
Hugs, Nancy
Wow What beautiful Pictures Karen I especially like the one taken from inside your pool house looking out, it is so serene. Your back yard is coming along wonderfully everything looks amazing. Glad to hear everyone is on the mend nothing worse than a feeling yucky in the summer heat, not that we have had any of that!!
What a lovely pool, you lucky lady! If we had a pool we'd only be able to use it for a handful of days every year ... way too chilly in the UK most of the time! I love the lilies, what a beautiful smile your Nanny has!
