Cute Collie Print

I was helping out at an Auction today. I bought this cute print. I guess I am a sucker for Collie prints. There is always room for one more picture : )

Cider went for a check up last Thursday. The Vet didn't invite me into the "procedure room" this time. Gee . . . I wonder why? He did however give Cider a bright yellow bandage to match the yellow sweater I was wearing that day. Everyone in the waiting room thought that was cute.

We are told her leg is finally starting to heal nicely. Likely a few more weeks of "the cone" however. I can't say Cider is too impressed with that decision . She does have a few supervised hours every day without the cone . . . but can't seem to leave her bandage alone for more than a couple of hours. At least sleeping helps to pass the time.

We also go for car rides with the windows down . . . just a bit (as that cone catches a lot of air!). Cider seems to think that is a pretty good virtual walk. I think I'll go buy some new chew toys tomorrow so I can distract her from her bandage. New toys that don't encourage running are what we need. Time for a new Kong Chew toy I think. You can fill them with peanut butter for hours of fun : )

That print is cute. Is it a Normal Rockwell? It certainly has that look. Glad that Cider is on the mend. Too bad she still has to wear a bandage.

Lovely print Karen...I used to watch the original Lassie years ago...have always loved collies.
Cider looks content...poor doggy. Hopefully he'll be able to be "cone free" soon.

Have a great Monday!
Hugs, Nancy

Your new print is lovely Karen.
We got a Collie from the pound when we were first married. The owners were going to Australia and it was going to be put down, so we just had to have her. She was a lovely dog and so obedient.

Glad Cider is coming right and I hope that it won't be long before her wound is completely healed.

Have a great week
Hugs
Carolyn

oh yes those Kong toys are great. Mind you we bought our Genevieve a lamb bone the other day and that kept her in doggy heaven for hours. And she doesnt even have a full set of teeth anymore! so glad to hear that Cider is getting better.

I am so glad that Cider is continuing to heal! It is so difficult to keep them in those cones (we always called them satelite dishes:). Good luck with the chew toys-I hope it makes her happy:) Thanks for keeping us posted.

Awww poor sweet Cider, what a gorgeous doggy. I bet she will be so happy when the cone finally comes off and she can suck wind in the car without it swirling round her head in the cone!
