It was the usual routine at the vet . . . fur flying! A 3 person job to hold her, a muzzle, lots of squirming, barking, growling and an all round temper tantrum. We will know the results of the biopsy next Tuesday. Her tail was wagging as soon as it was over and she gladly accepted a treat from the Vet before we left.
I like the cute heart bandage!

Cider even ran back to the car with me, after we were home, to get her blanket. I was quite surprised she was still interested in going near the car after all the fuss at the Vet just 15 minutes beforehand. If only people could forgive and forget as well as dogs :)

As a parent of a aging fur child, we too had a growth removed from an ear, thank goodness it was just one of those oily cysts, Zoobie is a 10 year old Giant Schnauzer, and Irish Wolf Hound mix, I didnt want to have him put to sleep to do it, our vet agreed, he gave him a local, and we sat in the floor of an exam room and removed the growth, Zoobie cried once when he got the local, We are very lucky we can trim toe nails, I clean his teeth with a dental tool, he likes his teeth brushed, but not with the electric tooth brush. He weighs 130 lbs
Hope all turns out for Cider. Love the bandage too. You are so right, it's too bad people aren't the same way. Taking a stand for Cider that she will be well and will pull through with good health.
Hi Karen! Happy New Year!
Just catching up on your blog, I have missed so much!
Poor Cider, it's hard to see them so scared. I do hope it's just a fatty tumor!
I am in complete awe over the beautiful bear/gift you created. She turned out perfect, even with the pearl bracelet! A wonderful idea for an old stole that would not be worn. I loved seeing a picture of the owner, and then her daughter with the bear.
I'd LOVE to know which pattern you used and where you found the eyes and nose.
The bow idea was fab using the lining and tag. BRAVO!
WOW, that sure was snowy wreath, brrrr! Beautiful Christmas decor. I liked the bird feeding pics too!
And the log cabin quilted towel~ what great gifts, she really did go to a lot of work!
Your blog is always such a treat.
Hugs,
Nikki
Karen I'm so sorry to hear about Cider she is such a wonderful dog and I know what an important part of the family she is. Cancer is such a scary word hopefully the tumor takes its time, even better doesn't grow at all. Give Cider a hug for me and all ya can do is take one day at a time.
Hugs Deb
