Owner Found & Puppies Returned

Update to the lost puppies story. Yes, the owner was found. It turns out all three dogs are 8 month old puppies. One is much bigger, but they are all from the same litter. They live about 1/2 kilometer from our house, on the other side of a rather busy road. Our neighbours figured out who they belong to and returned them (shortly after we left for our Easter weekend in Toronto).

For the few hours we had them it didn't take us long to bond. . .

We have been told that the pups are available for adoption

I think it would be hard to decide . . . .

They certainly liked my daughter . . . .

and were in no hurry to leave.

I will try and stay strong and resist the urge to keep one ! I am glad the owner was found.

Oh Martha...they are so lovely. We had a Golden Retriever...she was such a wonderful dog...and passed away much too soon. We haven't had another dog since...and that was 2001. They are such a lovable breed...so gentle.

Hi Nancy, I would certainly choose a Golden in the future. They were so friendly, even though they were scared. Our current dog is not really into sharing, so I keep reminding myself that one dog is probably better.

They did get along for a little while though. The 3 pups actually chased Cider in our backyard before they ran around to the front of the house. We got Cider in while they sat at the front door. I managed to get them to the garage with a food bribe.

If you lived closer you could adopt one. 2001 seems like a very long time to go without a doggy :).

Oh, it would be so hard to choose between those adorable sweeties! Such sweet little faces! We have a shepherd/lab mix. She's so sweet. Hope you had a wonderful trip to Toronto and a beautiful Easter...

I know...it has been a long time. But I have always had dogs...and as much as I love them, they do tie you down (albeit in a good way)! I want to go now when I can and not have to worry about a doggie...it just wouldn't be fair.

Martha,
Thank you for visiting my blog. I would have to keep all the dogs, if they come to me, chances are they will not leave. I also have a cat that looks just like your tiger, his name is Baxter and is quite a sweety. That snow is just too much for me, I like it warm and humid.

Hey Nancy . . . you have changed my name silly girl . .. now I see why I am "Martha" today.

Thank you for visiting my blog Cindy. Yes I am a bit worried the pups will keep returning. Even my dog was keeping a watchful eye this afternoon. She can probably hear them half a mile away with those big ears of hers.

I will visit again. Thanks for stopping by. ~Karen.

Hi Karen,
What beautiful pups! I think Cider was just jealous ;). I think Jersey would be nastier than Cider LOL! I'm glad they found their way home!
