Antique Collars & 1920s Quilt

I found the cutest little 1920s quilt recently. It is reversible ! It has soft floral prints on one side.


It has little embroidered animals and figures on the other side. I am sure it made some little girl very happy. Please see my store link if you are interested in viewing this quilt.

Spring Decorating

My daughter has decided she likes blue more than purple. I surprised her yesterday with this new blue comforter with a tiny yellow print. Mommy is a good shopper and got a great deal : ). I am sure this will lead to issues with the purple walls . . . but for now we will enjoy the new look.


It all goes nicely with the crisp whites, yellow pillows and dark blue blanket we already have.

Casey approves . . . . He is 18 years old now, so far beyond worrying about color ; ).

Owner Found & Puppies Returned

Update to the lost puppies story. Yes, the owner was found. It turns out all three dogs are 8 month old puppies. One is much bigger, but they are all from the same litter. They live about 1/2 kilometer from our house, on the other side of a rather busy road. Our neighbours figured out who they belong to and returned them (shortly after we left for our Easter weekend in Toronto).


For the few hours we had them it didn't take us long to bond. . .

We have been told that the pups are available for adoption

I think it would be hard to decide . . . .

They certainly liked my daughter . . . .

and were in no hurry to leave.

I will try and stay strong and resist the urge to keep one ! I am glad the owner was found.

Puppies on my door step !!!!!!

Look what the Easter bunny delivered ! Three Golden Retreivers ~ a mom and two pups (about 6 - 8 months old I would guess)


Boy are they cute ! No ID and we added the collars and leashes.

My neighbours are going to take them . . . Good Friday in Canada means all the Vets and even the Humane Society is closed. We are suppose to be on the road to Toronto right now.

My friends will take them to the vet tomorrow to look for a micro chip

Oh they are soooooo cute. Cold and hungry from last night and very happy to warm up in my garage with some TLC, food and water. The poor mom had ice pellets on her fur from the cold last night. The pups were fine . . . so she did her job and kept them warm

The are happy and safe now. This has delayed our departure to Toronto . . . thank goodness for neighbours and other dog lovers. I will update this story when we get back on Sunday! They have a safe place for the weekend. Bye for now.
