Sweet little visitors today ~ 3 week old kittens

I had company today . . . two adorable 3 week old kittens and their adoptive mom. They have been lovingly raised by my good friend Deb, who found them abandoned after birth. They had clearly been left, no doubt there. The cold nights in Canada would surely have done them in. Thanks to the loud and persistent cries of this little sweetie . . .

they were discovered and brought inside. Both are doing fine : )

They are still quite wobbly on their little feet and therefore hard to photograph clearly. So cute, even if a bit blurry, LOL.

They are on a 3 1/2 hour feeding schedule ~ poor Deb!
We helped with the baby burping.

Great little cuddlers

Almost as big as this Beanie Baby toy.
To keep tabs on their progress you can see weekly updates
at the Land of Nod Studio's.

Thanks for visiting us today !!!! xoxoxo

OMgosh, they are so cute! That black one has the sweetest, fluffiest face! Go on Karen, you know you want him LOL! Jersey will be lonely once Casey is gone, and poor Casey is getting up in years. Besides, if you get a kitten, he will get used to Cider and they can be pals and keep each other company while you go to work! Have I convinced you yet ;)

My husband found three little kitten on the roadside (we live in rural Vermont) last winter. Luckily, we found good homes for all of them. We named them "Winkin'", "Blinkin'" and "Nod." :-)

Posting cute kittens on your site is unfair to the rest of us who struggle to get more than 3-4 visitors a year!

I demand you take those pictures down and replace them with photos of out of shape, hairy construction workers showing butt-crack and spackling stuff!

Then we'll see if you are a "blog of note"! :)

We have raised orphan kitties too when their mama was hit by a car- lots of work but fun too!
Love your antiques- our taste runs more toward cowboy and western antiques, but we love the history that comes with items from the past-

Ahhhh, absolutely gorgeous....the kittens AND your Blog. It's fantastic. I previously let my children have one black kitten but they seemed a bit too rough with them so I gave him back to my aunty. Unfortuantely the kitten died of kidney cancer shortly after. Because I am quite ill, pets have been out of bounds in my household in the last few years, but I gave in once again a few weeks ago and bought the kids 2 more black kittens from a nearby village. Having 2 cats - (brother and sister) is such a massive difference to having just one. They keep each other occupied and are exceedingly interesting creatures. Who can turn them away when they are so cute - as on your photos. Your Blog is a real credit to you. I used to paint for a living but I am too ill now - God Bless - Alena

At comment #64 you probably don't need more but this brought back memories. In my first little shop in Spring, Texas an old cat showed up one day about 1/2wild. During the year - this was l987 I befriended and fed her and she can in side during the day. One day I knew that she had kitchens but had no idea where they were. About 2 weeks later I got ran over by a car -for 3 days the babies cried under a smaller trailor next door until they brought to me 3 kittens. My daughter and I stayed fed them every few hours - we were exhausted like you! They were like little "mice". We gave 2 away in the coming months and kept the ugly one no one wanted.

Ooops - I didn't get ran over by a car - the Mother cat did! And kitchens is supposed to be kittens.........this is why they have the preview button..I am still laughing!

Oh man. Those kittens are so adorable! The little black one looks just like my Mat cat looked when I got him 4 years ago. Gee they grow up fast :-\

Anyways hello =)

My name is J.R. Baker and I am a student (and a teacher) currently working on my PhD in Australia. I'm doing research on blogging and social networking, and was wondering if you could use your blog to alert people to my research? I've done previous research in the area which can be seen on my blogspot page. I'm trying to get a number of bloggers with varied interests and content on their pages to participate in the research.

I need a fair number of participants for the study, and so far I haven't had an easy time getting participants. My final thesis length should be around 400 pages so I'm desperate to get participants now so I don't have to cram writing up the thesis into the last few months of the degree.

I would really appreciate it if you could share my research with your readers, or even better participate in it yourself. I found your blog because it is one of the noteworthy blogs at the minute which is most excellent.

The link to the study for bloggers is http://onlinesocialresearch.com/ and the survey takes 15-20 minutes to fill out.

Don't worry if you don't want to pass it on or participate, but thanks very much if you do!

Cheers,

J.R.

How could anyone leave a kitten outside to die? That is a very nasty thing to do. But I am so glad that you rescued them. They are so very lovely.

I really hope that CAT KARMA gets whomever did this to the poor little things.

Thanks for visiting. FYI ~ it was actually a very young homeless cat that left her kittens behind. She chose a poor location (beside a dog run) and the lawn mower. She was likely spooked by all the noise and ran away. She came back eventually (3 days later), but it was too late. Three kittens had already passed away by the time Deb found them and the other two were saved. Hopefully we can catch the mom too. Karen.
