My neighbor has 2 boys a few years older than our kids. He said they should be able to safely operate a riding lawn mower . . . long before they ever get anywhere near his cars! We thought that sounded like great advice. So, our 14 year old daughter learned how to use our riding lawn mower last weekend. She just did the flat part between the trees and practised turning.
Note how Cider is running for cover, LOL. New Driver!!!!
Looking good on those turns : )
Cider supervising ~ safely from the deck : )
She did seem to know it was all new.

Cider looks all recovered, how is he doing? Your daughter would be thrilled to drive the lawnmower..It is good it is not a push one, that looks like quite the yard. Take care, always love coming for a visit. cinner
Cider is such a cutie! Your daughter looks like she's doing a great job. It sounds like something that would be a fun chore for a 14 year old...at least until the novelty wears off, LOL!
Oh, thanks for answering my question about the tatted table cloth. You don't have to worry about PM'ing me if I've asked you in your comments, then I'm okay with an answer in my comments! Besides, I think I've got your email address around here somewhere from when I won that fabulous giveaway of yours a year or so ago! That was my very first giveaway that I won and I was so excited! It's a nice memory. :)
It's so nice to see Cider sans the collar and looking so well again! She's such a beauty! ~Lori
Hi Gals, Yep, Cider is doing very well now. She is happy as can be and very active again. She just has a small black scar on her leg (you can see it in the last picture) from the operation. All is well :) Karen
Too funny!!! Your daughter looks like she is getting the hang of it pretty fast:).
Blessings,
Kim
