Show and Tell Sunday ~ China and Tea Service

Welcome to another great Show and Tell Sunday. This week's theme is your favorite China. To see the other participants please visit Analise's Blog at Sugar * Sugar .

I certainly do love antique white Ironstone from England. The shape and the lines have to stand out . . . there is nothing else to hide behind.

This lovely little Milk Glass candy dish looks wonderful with Candy Canes or Easter eggs

I like to display my favorite pieces in my Kitchen

This soup taureen is so pretty with the raised detail.

I like pitchers too . . . . great for Lemonaid in the Summer time!

This fancy Tea set does not get used very often ~ but it certainly is pretty!

I guess I go from plain white . . . to fancy. I also love hand painted Nippon

This is a 40 piece set ~ complete with Luncheon plates, tea service and cookie platers. I bought it at a local auction. Not very many people seemed interested. I won the 40 pieces for $40.00

Someone hand painted every Rose and Petal

I love the tiny little feet on each Teacup

Thank you for Looking ! Have a great weekend. ~ Karen

I love your white pieces...the soup tureen is lovely. I am afraid I have the same weakness for painted dishes. Your set is beautiful...so soft and pretty.

Thank-you for sharing...

Thanks Carolyn! Wow, you did go back a long way (snow and puppies). I am glad the snow is gone and we still miss the puppies LOL. Thanks for visiting!

Love the white pieces AND the tiny feet on those tea cups. Isn't that what always "sells" you on a set ~ what the teacup is shaped like?!?!?!

Thanks for sharing!

You're right about ironstone pieces--they have such striking lines. But the patterns are really pretty, too. Wonderful that we don't have to choose between them.

I'm an ironstone girl! I have had many other "likes" (flow blue, limoge, etc....), but I always come back to ironstone!

Thanks Karen...I will make sure to get water on them...I hope I get some tomatoes on the vine...my hubby just loves them. When we go to Ontario every year...we always buy tomatoes at the stands...there is such a difference in the taste than the store-bought variety.

Sorry I am posting here...just an excuse to see your lovely dishes again!

Hugs, Nancy
